Blencathra for Sunset - Part of the LightUpU Night Series

16:15 Meet in Threlkeld. Event Duration approx 4 Hours

Enjoy a quiet few hours of walking on one of the most popular mountains in the Lake District and hopefully enjoy a lovely sunset from the summit too.

On this walk we will spend the evening scrambling directly to the summit of Blencathra via the excellent Halls Fell Ridge (Grade 1). If the weather plays ball we will enjoy a lovely sunset before descending back to Threlkeld via Blease Fell or Doddick Fell.

This event will last roughly 3.5 hours and is suitable for people of most walking abilities. Please note that Halls Fell Ridge is exposed in places and contains scrambling.

All participants of our 2025 Night Series events will be entered into a raffle at the end of the season to win a LightUpU Bundle.
