13V Ultra Recce Run - '3 Passes' - 19th April
Geared towards 13 Valley & 7V Participants 
 
This official recce run will be hosted by LMG's experienced 'Run Guides'. The recce is an opportunity to see a section of the route, and ask our guides about ultra tips and advice. 
 
Recce Section
This recce will provide you the opportunity to run a circular loop, taking in sections of both the 13V and 7V Route. From Rosthwaite the route will climb to meet the 13V trail into Honister. From here it will descend to Gatesgarth, climb over into Ennerdale via Scarth Gap, and then head to Wasdale Head via Black Sail Pass. Now off route the recce climbs to Styhead Tarn to rejoin the 13V and 7V route again. From here we descend back to Rosthwaite via Seathwaite. 
We will run 30km, taking in 1600m ascent. Estimated time for the run is 6-7 Hours. Full information, including a route GPX, can be downloaded from your booking confirmation email. 
 
Recce Run Ethics
This is not a race, nor an opportunity for you to see how long a section takes at 'race pace'. Your guides will guide the group in a way, and at a pace that best suits all abilities. Please come with the fact that this will be a far more social affair than a training run (even though it will of course be great training still!) firmly in your mind. 
With this said, please be safe in the knowledge the recce distance and ascent is within your capabilties. 
 
Recce Transport
This is a circular route, so you will start and finish in the same place. No additional transport will be required.
