Snowdonia Trail Running

Snowdonia scrambling and trail running merged into one epic day, yes please!!

A fab day spent with James, Paul and Andy helping them get to recce a section of a multi stage run across Wales known as the Dragon's Back. On day one they must ascend Tryfan and then head across Crib Goch to Snowdon. Our day started up the North Ridge of Tryfan in order to get to grips with plenty of scrambling.

From the summit of Tryfan we descended the South Ridge and followed the scree slope onto Glyder Fach and then ran over to Glyder Fawr. A huge 700m descent to Pen Y Pass was then undertaken.

Back on the uphill we climbed up into Crib Goch and scrambled across the exposed ridge. We tagged the summit of Garnedd Ugain and then Snowdon was next.

The twin peaks of Y Lliwedd was our final uphill section which was gladly met with lots of downhill and flat running!

A super day, now time for a beer!! 🍺 #LivefortheNow
