A super early start for 3 'old' school friends, who had driven down from summiting Ben Nevis the previous day. A serene solitude awaited at the summit of Scafell Pike, after a rather swift ascent from Wasdale. Making light work of the terrain, the girls descended a 'quiet' route, singing merrily 'the hills are alive' and the hills were alive with an every changing swirling mist. It's a very rare occasion that the summit is deserted, though the car park was full on our return. A real pleasure to spend the morning with such a happy and rather fit trio of girls!!
Big thanks to LMG Carol for guiding today!
