Wow! 🥳
Finally, some luck, and what a big heap of luck we got!
I was out today with a fantabulous 6 folks on our Open Event One Day winter skills course, and we knew we'd get into the snow, but we never expected sun!
From Glenridding we first headed up BIrkhouse Moor, chatting about some winter knowledge as we went. From here we popped the crampons on and ambled over to Red Tarn, where suddenly, and totally against the forecast, the sun appeared!
Now in a wintry dreamworld we ascended Swirral Edge which all the group did so well on, and loved too! On the summit we soaked it all in and enjoyed a bite to eat, before descending (and bum sliding!) down to Brown Cove and back in.
A super day with some super people. So glad to be able to run and not have to cancel another course, although unfortunately as the wind and rain is back tomorrow that is the way it is once again... For now.
