A lovely day walking with Judith and Vaughan on the Buttermere Fells. It's always nice when the clients leave it to me to pick a route, and as these guys were staying in Cockermouth it was ideal to do a walk on the quiet and beautiful Buttermere Fells.
We started by heading around towards Scale Force, from which we ascended steadily to the summit of Red Pike. Now high we undulated our way across High Stile and High Crag. The steep descent down Gamlin End helped us lose the height fast and not before too long we were on the Lakeshore heading back to the village.
