Big thanks to Matt, Harry, Jake and Adam for joining us this weekend for a bespoke winter skills course. These guys have got ambitions of climbing Mont Blanc in the summer, so they not only wanted to sharpen up their winter walking skills, but learn some skills specific to the alpine environment.
On Saturday they were out with LMG Gibson on and around Helvellyn, covering all sorts from Ice axe arrest through to learning how to make a buried axe anchor.
On Sunday LMGs Gibson and Geoff ran a woodland session which covered crevasse rescue, prussicking up a rope and tying in together.
Thanks to all involved, well done! 🤙
