A mega day with returning client Liz on her bespoke Intro to Mountain Navigation course. Liz hadn't really had much contact with maps in the past and so we started from scratch and worked through map symbols, scales and navigational tactics. Before long she'd already gained tonnes of confidence and was turning out to be a natural. We got to the top of Haystacks and then went more 'wild country' as we worked our way back towards the start point. We also managed to cover compass bearings and relocation on the return leg.
