Today was what was likely to have been the penultimate training day for Ali with us before her Lakeland 3000's attempt in June. It was time to ramp it up a tad and so I got plotting a route which mixed in plenty of running, walking and ascent. Our route started from Keswick and we headed up past Latrigg and under Lonscale Fell and then off eastward to the remote terrain behind Blencathra. We went up and over High Pike and utilised the little Lingy Hut as a place for some lunch. Our route descended to the road north of Carrock Fell and we followed this down to Mosedale. Now back on the up we climbed Bowscale Fell followed by Blencathra. A swift descent off of Blencathra then left us just Latrigg to Summit. Our route totalled 43km and 1800m of ascent. Next up we're going to have a crack at the @georgefisheruk Abraham's Tea Round! #LivefortheNow
