A fab day hosting members of the Durham University Hillwalking Society for a third year. Unfortunately our plan for winter skills had to be scrapped and exchanged for some navigation training instead. Myself and Carol split the group and we had one group focussing on accurate off path navigation using bearings and contour interpretation and the others got to grips with the basics of route finding and some compass work. Well done all and I hope to see you again next year when we may have some snow to play in! Thanks to Carol for co-coaching today too. #LivefortheNow
