Today I enjoyed another day of running with Ali as we took another step towards her aim of completing the full Lakeland 3000's loop with us this summer. Due to potentially very grim conditions up top we opted to stay low and crank up the mileage. Our route of choice was the relatively new 'Ullswater Way', a 20 mile low level circumnavigation of Ullswater designed to get you to explore the whole valley. Oh my, what a route! We started from Aira Force and enjoyed single track trails along the side of Gowbarrow before hitting Pooley Bridge. This then went to more shoreline running down to Patterdale. A few miles remained and we ambled back past Glenridding to the car. Ali ran further than she'd ever run today and smashed it - next step is more mileage and more ascent. #LivefortheNow @ Ullswater The Lake District
