Today I was out with Nathan, P, Andy, Lizzie and Steve for day 2 of our Lakes based winter skills course. After having covered the basics yesterday, today was for consolidation. We started from Seathwaite in Borrowdale and made our way onto a misty Seathwaite Fell for some nav practice. After a bite to eat at Sprinkling Tarn we ventured onto more exciting and steeper ground as we ascended 'the band' onto the summit of Great End. Now we were in whiteout terrain and out came the maps and compasses again to get us back down towards Seathwaite.
