Wonderful Winter Skillls!
What a day to be out on the hill playing with sharp pointy things! Today I was joined by Anthony and Nick for a One Day Winter Skills Course. We had a great day getting used to walking in Crampons, talking about Avalanche Awareness and using a walking axe - including a bit of sliding too. Our journey took us from Glenridding up Swirral Edge and then along the peaks of Helvellyn, White Side and Raise before heading back to the van.
