In the early hours of this morning I met Tristan and Hayley to guide them up Scafell Pike for Sunrise. The pair are visiting on holiday and simply fancied doing something memorable and this more than fit the bill!
As I pulled up in Wasdale last night in the van the mist was down to 600m and it was lashing it down, so you wouldn't believe my amazement this morning when I work to a wind and cloud free Wasdale.
We made great time up to the summit, enjoying the mild night and lovely views to the north as they came clear, and even a few cloud inversions. Unfortunately we didn't get a full blown sunrise, but it was pretty special to be up there and have the whole place to ourselves on such a peaceful morning.
